Guel Arraes was born on December 12, 1953 in Recife, Pernambuco, Brazil. He is a director and writer, known for A Dog's Will (2000), Lisbela and the Prisoner (2003) and A Comedy of Private Lives (1995). He has been married to Carolina Jabor since 2003. He was previously married to Virginia Cavendish and Andrea Beltrão.
