Enigmatic actress Eri is kidnapped during a shoot in Hong Kong, leading to an encounter between director Kenta and a woman he doesn't recognize.

Maki reveals the events that led up to the kidnapping from her cynical perspective, as well as the desires, lies and drunkenness that fueled them.

Kenta desperately confronts Maki, suspecting she knows more than she lets on. Meanwhile, Daniel tries to show his date a good time and gets an earful.

Maki goes to rescue Daniel and Eri from Kataoka, bringing the lantern. Surprising even herself, she takes a gun from a policeman, aims and fires.
