Eric Andrusyszyn is a lead compositor at Sony Pictures Imageworks (SPI). He has worked across multiple major visual effects studios, including Rhythm & Hues, Moving Picture Company (MPC), Method Studios, and Scanline VFX (now Eyeline).
Andrusyszyn earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Film and Video Production from the University of Colorado Boulder between 2000 and 2004, where his student work was recognised with two Goldfarb Awards for best student film, an international screening at the Clapstick Film Festival in India, and an honourable mention at the Black Maria Film Festival. He later completed a Bachelor of Arts in Visual Effects and Motion Graphics at The Art Institutes from 2007 to 2009, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During this period, he was inducted into the Alpha Beta Kappa Honor Society, received a Certificate of Excellence for his Visual Effects and Motion Graphics portfolio, and was named Student of the Quarter in Winter 2009.
His early career included compositing work at Rhythm & Hues Studios on films such as Moneyball (2011), Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked (2011), Life of Pi (2012), and Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters (2013).
Andrusyszyn later became a key contributor at MPC, advancing to senior and supervisory roles. His credits from this period include Guardians of the Galaxy (2014), Night at the Museum: Secret of the Tomb (2014), Furious 7 (2015), Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016), Independence Day: Resurgence (2016), Justice League (2017), xXx: Return of Xander Cage (2017), Aquaman (2018), Alpha (2018), Ad Astra (2019), and Sonic the Hedgehog (2020).
His television work includes contributions to Game of Thrones (2011) and lead compositing responsibilities on the limited series Lisey's Story (2021). For Game of Thrones (2011), Andrusyszyn shared the 2015 Visual Effects Society Award for Outstanding Compositing in a Photoreal/Live Action Broadcast Program, alongside Dan Breckwoldt, Martin Furman, and Sophie Marfleet.
At Scanline VFX, Andrusyszyn served as lead compositor on The Adam Project (2022) and contributed as a digital compositor on Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021). He later joined Sony Pictures Imageworks, where he took on lead and senior compositing roles on projects such as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023), Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire (2024), A Minecraft Movie (2025), KPop Demon Hunters (2025), The Fantastic Four: First Steps (2025) and Avengers: Doomsday (2026).
