The Princess's Gambit

On her way to be married, Jiang Taohua meets Shen Zaiye. Later, fearing the wedding might be called off, she resolves to take action.

Jiang Taohua marries Shen Zaiye willingly, but he suspects she may have ulterior motives. On their wedding day, he sets a trap to humiliate her.

Shen Zai Ye is ambushed in the mine — but Mu Wu Xia comes to the rescue. Meanwhile, Jiang Tao Hua takes bold risks to earn Shen Zai Ye's trust.

After defeating the Crown Prince, Shen Zai Ye continues dealing with the Meng family and grows closer to Jiang Tao Hua.

The King of Qi is forced to yield to Mu Wu Yin. Shen Zai Ye and Mu Wu Xia mobilize troops to rescue him. Empress Lu is exposed at the succession ceremony.

Mu Wu Yin and Empress Lu are toppled. Mu Wu Xia and Xiang Qing Ying pledge their love. Meng Zhong Yan confesses — then kills himself.

Shen Zai Ye unveils his true identity, vindicating the Xie family. Empress Lu reemerges and attempts to stir up trouble again.

Jiang Tao Hua passes Qian Mo Chen's test. Shen Zai Ye is poisoned while testing some medicine, leaving Jiang Tao Hua heartbroken and helpless.

Shen Zai Ye sets a trap to lure Empress Lu. Qian Mo Chen and Empress Lu die together. Shen Zai Ye and Jiang Tao Hua finally get married.
