Felix & Klara

Felix and Klara, a retired couple, live in a house they built themselves, a source of pride for Felix. When the latter's health begins to decline, their family suggest they sell their home and move into a retirement community.

Felix and Klara settle into a retirement community. As they adjust to their new life, Klara, a social butterfly, quickly makes new friends, while Felix finds himself clashing with everyone around him.

Klara's drinking problem worsens, but Felix refuses to acknowledge it. After a crash in the parking garage involving his precious magazine collection, Felix investigates and suspects an elderly neighbour might be to blame.

Klara brings up their lack of intimacy and wishes they could have a sex life like those around them. When a retired hairdresser neighbour flirts with Klara, Felix decides to take matters into his own hands. He visits the doctor and receives a prescription for Viagra, but the side effects are far from what he expected.

A grandson borrows their car while Felix and Klara visit the countryside with Felix's choir. Felix can't relax, consumed by worries about the car. The trip takes a turn when Klara drinks too much, and Felix ends up embarrassing himself.

When Klara insists Felix get rid of their board games, Felix decides to start a game room in the house, collecting more games until their apartment is overflowing. Meanwhile, dissatisfied with the dining hall food, Felix attempts to cook traditional Icelandic meals at home, with disastrous results.

Klara is hospitalised after an accident at home. Felix is alone and restless, unable to take care of himself. He decides to throw himself a birthday party, but the day doesn't turn out as he'd hoped.

When Klara's doctor informs the family about the empty alcohol bottles found in her hospital room, they stage an intervention. Meanwhile, Felix is alarmed by news of rising cannabis use among children and takes matters into his own hands.

Klara refuses to return and Felix suspects she's found someone new. Their neighbour uses Nivea facial cream to maintain his youth, so Felix decides to follow suit. But after suffering a painful facial reaction, he has a wake-up call.

As Klara prepares to leave the hospital, Felix secures storage for his games and receives good news from his son abroad. Felix reconciles with his family and receives an unexpected award. When Klara returns home, a surprise awaits.
