Set in the turbulent 1990s, the series follows the lives of a young couple, their relatives and friends in the moments when Yugoslavia disappears, and everyday life becomes a fight to preserve humanity. Through their destinies, "The Fortress" speaks about what is close to everyone - about moral dilemmas, conflicts and reconciliations, but above all about the love that unites even when everything else threatens to fall apart.
