Having found a pen identical to Matilda’s at the construction site, Yuta and the others go to the police and insist they open a murder investigation.

Yuta and his friends relay Akari’s important testimony to Officer Tsurumi. At the café with Hakuba, they recall what led them to make their own movie.

Yuta and the others have learned that Matilda was being stalked. Kisuke, who takes care of his mother, is encouraged to draw comics again.

As Yuta prepares his defense against bribery charges, he, Hajime, and Kisuke learn new information about the criminal past of Video Jupiter’s manager.

Yuta crashes at Hajime’s apartment. Hajime identifies a man they used to call Rambo in an old video while investigating Matilda’s disappearance.

Hoping to learn more about what happened to Rambo, Yuta and his friends decide to pay a visit to someone who knew Hisao Torikai back in 1988.

Enjoying a quiet New Year’s Eve at the café together, Yuta, Hajime, and Kisuke think back to Matilda’s disappearance on the same date 37 years earlier.
