Barrett Martin visits the singing Shipibo Shamans of the Upper Peruvian Amazon Rainforest, and records their sacred healing songs known as "icaros". Several other well-known musicians participate in the recordings for a truly unique musical experience.
Barrett and R.E.M. guitarist Peter Buck travel to Brazil to make an album with Grammy-winning singer and songwriter Nando Reis. During their journey, they get to speak with Tropicalia legend Gilberto Gil, and then record a final song with singer and songwriter Silvia Machete.
Barrett produces an album for first-generation blues singer CeDell Davis. During the studio sessions, legendary rockers stop by, and up-and-coming musicians collaborate with CeDell. Guest musicians include Duff McKagan, Eva Walker, Peter Buck, Ayron Jones, Zakk Binns, Scott McCaughey, Annie Jantzer, Mike McCready, and Van Conner.
Barrett travels to Iceland with British singer-songwriter Duke Garwood and former Nirvana and Soundgarden guitarist Jason Everman. There they play with a Viking rock band, and do a studio collaboration with Eurovision finalists Systur.
