Bored to Tears was an indie rock band based in Starkville Mississippi who formed in September of 2022 between four students who played throughout their college careers. In June of 2025, the band went on a final tour through the southeast and midwest United States as a farewell to the band as all members planned to disperse after graduation. While on the road, the band was joined by friends in Smokies and Morning Dew on subsequent legs of the tour before closing out the tour and the band as whole.
The first stop of the tour was in the hometown of members Quin and Phillip. The show was easily defined by the heat and friendly reunions throughout the night.
The second stop of the tour was in St. Louis, a city that the first city on the tour that the band has never played before where they adjusted to what tour really means.
After a prolonged goodbye, the two bands parted ways as Bored to Tears went on to Bloomington where they were introduced to scene that reminded them of home.
Chicago’s show may have been the highlight the band’s personal experience on the road, and was the first stop with the screamo legends, Morning Dew.
The show in the basement of a Detroit home saw some of the best performances the band has seen up until that point by veterans of the midwest scene.
The show in Dirty Dungarees was a highly anticipated stop for the tour, and was the final show with Morning Dew before bands parted ways.
Chattanooga was the first stop on the final leg of the band’s journey and was the return to familiar territory for everyone involved.
The day in Atlanta revealed the fatigue that touring can take on a band, but the show was able to help the band push through to the next day.
Hattiesburg is considered by the band to be the parent city of the band’s scene, so it only made sense that the final show Bored to Tears would play as a band be held here.
