Overview
Overture tells the tale of the great cosmic event that weakened Dream of the Endless enough so that he was susceptible to capture by simple hedge magic in Sleep of the Just.

The fate of the entire universe hangs in the balance when Dream finally gets his mother’s full attention. Magic, joy, war and heartbreak are brought to life on the pages with epic luminosity in the penultimate issue of Overture.

The final issue is a sweep of science fictional beauty and madness. Featuring cameos by some of Morpheus's favorite siblings, the grand finale of Overture dovetails into the start of The Sandman's first journey in Sleep of the Just.
