Overview
The central character of A Game of You is Barbie, introduced as a resident of the house where Rose Walker stayed during the events of The Doll's House, wherein Barbie dreamed a vivid dream of herself as a princess of a fantasy realm. As A Game of You opens, Barbie, who no longer dreams, but lives in an apartment block with her best friend, Wanda, the lesbian couple, Hazel McNamara and Foxglove; the witch, Thessaly; and a quiet man named George.

Barbie returns to The Land, a place she has not visited in her dreams since readers first encountered her in The Doll's House. Meanwhile, back in the real world, an evil being unleashes the nightmares of Barbie's friends and neighbors.
3. Bad Moon Rising
Barbie's life is far from dreamy as two realities vie for her attention. Plus, more is revealed about Thessaly, Barbie's seemingly quiet and bookish young neighbor.
4. Beginning to See the Light
Barbie finds herself far from home and wandering alone through the Land, finally encountering the enemy she's been waiting for: the Cuckoo.
5. Over the Sea to the Sky
Thessaly, Hazel and Foxglove enter The Land for a terrifying showdown with the Cuckoo! Meanwhile, a magic-induced hurricane in Manhattan threatens Barbie's physical body.
6. I Woke Up and One of Us was Crying
Morpheus decides the final destiny of the Land, and is determined to decide who among Barbie, Hazel, Foxglove, Wanda and the Cuckoo who will live -- and who will die.
