Ahsabul Yamin Riad

Biography

Born in Rajshahi in 2000, Ahsabul Yamin is an independent filmmaker and actor from Bangladesh. He started making films in 2016 and graduated in Film and Media Studies from Jatiya Kabi Kazi Nazrul Islam University in 2023. His short film Bish Pipra (2019) screened internationally and won several awards, followed by works like Jaay Jaay Din (2022) and the web series Shaaticup. He also made a few more short films, short documentaries and commercial works. His films and documentaries have been shown on Film festivals, TV, OTT platforms, and in cultural spaces. Yamin is now developing his debut feature documentary Sroter Gaan, selected for Dhaka DocLab, Kolkata DocEdge and Kathmandu Doclab.
