Courtroom drama, each case takes three episodes. At the end of the third episode, a jury of "ordinary people" comes to a verdict on the evidence presented.
Barbara Caplan is the production manager of Meddings Bottletop Company. Packers Alan Marsden, Michael Harris and Bernard Osgood have been accused of raping her one July evening in her own home. Osgood is the son of the Managing Director.
A doctor's report found the three defendants had sexual intercourse with Barbara Caplan and her body showed signs of heavy bruising. David Thomas arrived two hours after the rape but he denies the prosecution claim that she was in a drunken stupor.
Bernard Osgood claims Barbara Caplan was very drunk and accepted the sexual advances of the trio. Mr. Bryant accuses Osgood of overhearing a conversation between his father and David Thomas and knew Barbara Caplan would be alone all night.
