Yiğit Altar Batuk

Biography

Yiğit Batuk is a writer, director, editor, actor, and D.I.T., who also uses the name "Altar" in his projects. He graduated at the top of his class from the Department of Radio, TV, and Cinema at Kadir Has University.

His filmmaking journey began in 2013, and in 2019 he received his first recognition by winning first place at the Awkward Design Video Competition during the 9th International Design Week at Eastern Mediterranean University. Since then, he has written and directed short films, with his work being selected, nominated, and awarded at various international film festivals.

His graduation film, The Ones Who Can Fly in Their Dreams, marked a significant step in his career as a filmmaker.
