Your Life in Their Hands! The men and women of the 110 Lifeguard Clubs will be patrolling Britain's beaches this summer and preventing holidays turning into tragedies. Last year alone more than 2,000 people were saved from drowning in resorts as far afield as Barn-staple and East Kilbride. The teams are manned by volunteers and the youngest cadets are 13 years old.
