Brontë Burkart

Biography

Brontë Burkart is a director, writer, producer, and cinematographer. She most recently served as Creative Producer on the Critics Choice Award–winning short documentary Saving Superman, executive produced by Brendan Fraser.

She has worked internationally across narrative, documentary, and fashion film, including work in England on a feature exploring troubled teen institutions in the 1980s, serving as a Camera Operator on a television series in Spain, and Director of Photography for a project that premiered at a fashion gala. In this work, she captured fashion designers, interviewing New York Fashion Week designers and models to trace the quiet, personal origins of their creative inspiration.

Brontë has written and directed three short films in London. Across her work, she is drawn to restraint, intimacy, and moral tenderness. Her films treat emotion not as spectacle, but as something quietly lived; moving through feeling as an interior landscape shaped by atmosphere, moral weight, and what remains unspoken. Through the careful use of color, sound, and silence, emotion surfaces slowly, like memory rather than event. Her voice is defined by a quiet intensity and a devotion to preserving honest human moments, where connection emerges gently, without demand.
