Biography
Corey Rae is a transgender actress, writer, director, and producer dedicated to telling nuanced, joyful, and authentic trans stories on screen. Known as the world’s first openly transgender prom queen, she draws from lived experience to create character-driven work that centers identity, resilience, and belonging. In 2023, she launched Rae of Light Productions to elevate trans voices throughout development and release. In 2025, Corey wrote, directed, produced and starred in three short films, expanding her body of work both behind and in front of the camera. Her high school transition and prom-queen milestone is currently in development as a feature film titled Queen.
