Un medico in famiglia

Lele leaves for Australia while Alice, who will soon join her husband, is in Brazil. Maria meets Guido at the University, a brilliant doctor who is looking for a house and will be hired by the new director at the Local Health Authority.

Maria is very fascinated by Guido, but it seems that the doctor is not interested in her at all. Meanwhile Ciccio, after a prank that risked ending in tragedy, tries to escape from Lele in Australia.

Enrica notices the growing understanding between Maria and Guido and puts a "flea in the ear" of Nonno Libero who begins to worry. Meanwhile, everyone begins to discover that Alberto has not even given an exam at the University.

Nonno Libero does not want anything to happen between Guido and Maria and does everything to keep them away. Meanwhile Alberto is depressed and sleeps in the garage to be alone. He will need the help of the family to get him out of the dark evil.

Cettina sets out to look for Giacinto, discovering a bitter truth. Maria, due to a painful episode, no longer wants to take medical tests. Will Guido be able to convince her otherwise?

Nilde is forced to close the restaurant due to poisoning and notices that Guido is the one who signed the complaint. Alberto, by improvising a nighttime radio episode, manages to get hired on a permanent basis.

A new nutritionist, Carlotta, arrives at the ASL. With her obsessive and detached behavior it is not possible to win her sympathy, and misunderstandings and disagreements arise between her and Guido. Until something brings them back together.

Guido tries to make friends with Carlotta, but the obstacle to overcome is the girl's phobia of physical contact, a difficult difficulty to overcome. Meanwhile, Maria is increasingly jealous of Guido.

Nonno Libero meets Antoinette, the nanny of one of Annuccia's classmates; the child is strangely too calm and Antoinette doesn't understand why, so Nonno Libero invites her to take him to the ASL, to have him examined by Guido.

A mysterious statue found in the garden divides the family. Guido tries to help Carlotta solve her problem, but the situation soon escalates to near disaster.

Carlotta confesses to Guido that she is in love with him, sending him into a crisis because he cannot understand his feelings for Maria. The birthday dinner with the latter, however, skips due to a hiccup.

Maria is happy to have met Gianluca, a charming lawyer, who courts her like a real princess. Meanwhile, some kids enter Ciccio's school at night and break the pipes to skip questions and homework.

Gianluca surprises Maria by taking her to lunch on a boat on the Tiber, which carries a flag with Maria written on it. Meanwhile, Guido has gotten together with Carlotta, and everything seems to be going well... or not?

Carlotta suggests that Guido move in together, the doctor accepts. Meanwhile Maria, having broken off the story with Gianluca, has started working as a volunteer in a recovery center for drug addicts.

Maria is preparing for an exam and is very nervous and Nonno Libero thinks it is Gianluca's fault. Guido and Carlotta continue their story, even if the failed cohabitation puts the relationship to the test.

Nonno Libero picks up the news on the news that a young blonde student has been arrested in Fiumicino together with Gianluca for drug dealing. Thinking it's Maria, he feels bad and suffers a heart attack.

Meanwhile, Guido has problems with Carlotta, tired of seeing her boyfriend totally taken by the Martini family. Maria sees Gianluca in front of her house who tells her he wants to escape to avoid trial.

Guido and Carlotta are increasingly in crisis and during a dinner they argue again. Guido goes to a friend's house who introduces him to two girls and the following morning, the doctor wakes up drunk next to one of the two.

Maria is angry with Guido and disappointed because he betrayed Carlotta. A course on self-esteem is held at the ASL and thanks to it the doctors are able to bring out their problems, especially Carlotta.

Guido and Maria go to get Annuccia from the biopark, but the little girl gets lost. Because of this, Guido does not show up for the appointment with Carlotta, but in the meantime Maria and the doctor finally kiss.

After the kiss at the biopark, Guido understands that he has feelings for Maria but she would like him to leave Carlotta first who, in the meantime, seems increasingly tied to Marcello and not just for work.

Maria is tired of waiting for Guido and decides to go out and have fun with Reby. During a night outing she is stopped by the police and her car is withdrawn. Who's gonna get her out of that mess?

Maria and Guido go to the beach to be alone and when they return home, covered in sand, Libero understands that the two have spent the afternoon together. However, due to an error, Guido is suspended from the ASL.

Maria asks Nonno Libero not to tell anyone about her affair with Guido, but he realizes that in reality everyone already knew. Meanwhile, Guido makes home visits and the patients show up at the Martini house because they only want him.

The story between Guido and Maria falls apart due to a misunderstanding. Even grandfather Libero is furious with the boy, he can't understand that in reality it's not his fault. Guido then decides to make a video to explain everything.

Having lost all hope of getting Maria back, Guido asks for an immediate transfer to Milan and outside the ASL he says goodbye to Marcello and Carlotta. During the journey to the church, Maria realizes that she wants Guido and she runs to the station.
